The first aspect of the game that will be noticed will probably be the exclusion of a storyline. Fortunately it’s not the only racing game without a plotline, which gives the lack of a plotline a legitimate excuse. Apart from the plot, the graphics can also be improved, as they are okay, at best. The environments will usually be insufficient of the required texture and feel somewhat flat. The tires appear quite square-ish when observed from a chasing camera behind ATV. Otherwise the ATVs look reasonable. This is ruined, to some extent, by the game’s very short duration. The eleven levels will probably not satisfy a gamer’s needs. No replay value can be found either, as you’ll repeat the same levels for several pointless ATVs and gear. The alternate terrain vehicles control quite nicely – good preloading (preloading determines the air height of the atv to some extent along with speed), sharp turns, etc. The only letdown comes down to the stunt system. The tricks are original and diverse. Unfortunately when a rider performs a trick/stunt it looks very mechanical, as if a robot is doing it – not very realistic. The camera angles should be enough. They include close chase, 1st person, follow and several others. The variety of vehicles is reasonable, although there was no real point to most atvs, since only one good ATV was required to complete the game and the rest of the atvs were sluggish and slow. Most of the cars were irrelevant, with many colourful riders along. The utter need of customization was also a letdown including only the tuning of the atvs: insignificant speed vs. acceleration, soft shocks vs. hard shocks and soft traction vs. hard traction options. Overall the level designs were adequate, though the inclusion of more levels would have been a big plus. The levels vary from a desert to a super cross track to a mountain track. One of the best features of the game is its extreme air heights with the vehicles. The stunts also make a nice addition, excluding their mechanical execution. The controls are simple, with several buttons for stunts, X for acceleration and left analog stick for preloading (preloading includes rocking the stick forward and backward at the precise time), which will get some time to get used to. Wheelies and stoppies are also there though they are not accounted for points. When racing through the well-designed environments, people will notice that the Artificial Intelligence is quite difficult to outsmart. After numerous laps, a person should be able to outrace his/her rivals, however. There is no real point of buying this game, though a weekend rental is a good idea due to the lack of length.
