Wii remote functionality just doesn't work. Simple, repetitive combat gets old fast.

I know the game is targeted at kids, so it makes the sense the combat would be simplistic. But, it gets very repetitive very quickly. There are a few situations that break from the norm, but for the most part you're just going to push B (I think) repeatedly while moving in the direction of the enemies.

The graphics are just OK. And for some odd reason you can skip about half the cinematics, but you can't skip the other half. This is fine the first time you're playing (if you're not looking to get to the actual game playing part), but it's annoying not being able to skip all the sequences.

But, the biggest problem with the game is the tacked-on Wii functionality. I was playing two player and we both had trouble getting the Wii remote actions to register. Early on, blowing wind into air vents would register maybe 1/3 the time. But, a little later on where you create an ice bridge it was an exercise in frustration. On average, it probably took a couple minutes to get the game to register that the action it was asking for actually took place.

If you're buying this for a child who enjoys Avatar, then they're going to look past these flaws. But, don't expect to have an enjoyable experience if you decide to pick up the controller and play the game with them. There are much better games you could pick up for the same price (or less), that are enjoyable by everyone.
