the game that started it all.
the game is straight forward and the graphics are awsome for its time. through the season your main goal ultimately is to beat Senna. As you progress through the game you will sign deal with other companies to get behind the wheels of better cars. Often you will challenge and be challenged by rival racers. if you win you get the option of taking your rivals car and driving it as your own or stick to your car.
in the end, if you beat Senna then you will see some cool pictures of him and his car. i personally liked the ending where me an him tied at the end of the season, and he stepped out of his car to shake my hand and then see the pictures. as you go further into the game you will notice the tracks will become quite difficult to drive. you also have the option of driving an automatic transmission, 4 speed manual transmission, or the 7 speed. to really beat Senna you will need to master driving the manual car.
it isnt difficult to learn since you are only pushing up and down on the directional pad. but ultimately learning how to use the 7 speed manual car will give you the best results and a greater edge to win the championship. the 7 speed is also drastically faster and wins more races than any other control scheme. if you are a fan of Senna and you havent played this game, it is well worth the money. if its 20 bux or more dont worry about the money because you will never get the chance to own the original copy if you hesitate. you can get the game emulated but i find its twice as fun on the original console.
