I kinda expected this game to suck..but surprise it doesn't.
There is a "madden curve" most of us have to get past when playing a football game. the first 20 mins or so i kept pressing the A buttin to throw a pass and unfortunity thats the throw into the ground button. but once i got the hang of usong the analog stick as an extension of my arm its alot of fun. Once i got past trying to play it like madden its a really solid game.
U can make your own team witch is really fun, my only complaint is that making a logo is kinda rough and once i spent 2 hours making a killer logo i found out i couldnt upload them or download them kind of a bummer.
One day somone is gunna make a game that recognizes story line events like your rookie QB scoring 40 td's in his 1st season or that 1st round 1st pick RB getting 2.1 ypc. this is not that game...at all not evan any commintary at all. I know everyone wishes this aspect of football would hurry up and come to a game were going to have to wait a little longer,,sigh
All in all this game is less realistic then madden but a hell of alot of fun. just to be fair in my opinion the "fun" of madden has been ripped apart year after year. and its starting to feel like the 80's with game simulations that kept getting a little more realistic and a little less fun. Does anyone remember the BIG feature in last years madden? "protac" now it sounded cool at all the press events...but really, does anyone evan care about the feature now? I dont understand how a studios first game could do better with the hitting mechanics then a power house like EA.
well if anyone keeps up with the news there was a ruling where the NFL's exclusive licinsing agreement with Reebok was illigal. basicly making all exclusive deals with a brand illigal. so mabey as soon as next year we could see an NFL Backbreaker..
If you like football do yourself a favor and pick up this game...its really fun. and isnt that what games are supposed to be about...like i said maddens more realistic but hands down...Backbreaker is alot more fun.
