So, Backyard Football 2008. Worth a purchase? In my opinion I'd say not to get it. Backyard Football will most likely satisfy the younger age longer then it can keep children 13+ entertained. In order for a football game to be successful it must have somewhat complexity and must have options for gameplay. Backyard football is set in its own standards. It does not have many options such as you'd find in Madden NFL games. You'll find difficulty and controls, but thats almost all. You won't find camera angles and season statistics such as Madden. You'll most likely enjoy playing this game with your family. It can be fun for multiple people. Overall this is just another standard football game. Yet another title attempting to catch up with the higher achievement football games. It doesn't show signs of catching up. Backyard Football 2008 probably isn't worth a purchase. Rent it at a store in order to see for yourself.
