The newer editions of the Backyard Sports titles leave a lot to be desired. Backyard Football 2008 for the DS is right up there with the worst games in video game history, really, I'm not kidding. The only reason this football title is even worth looking at for a lot of people is because Tom Brady is on the cover. The most fun my son and I had with that game was returning it. While Backyard Football 2008 for the PS2 is better, more fun and more engaging, the game play and glitches just makes this game disappointing and way below average. The graphics, sound and announcing are sub-par. I don't know why Atari and Humongous are putting out this crap. Rent it first and see if you and your kids might enjoy it. I just hope they have fixed the problems for the 2009 series of titles. Consumers aren't dumb. Please, please fix your products. This new generation of Backyard sports titles makes me long for the older versions of the games. Hey, 2K has been coming out with kid friendly sports titles now, maybe we all should start taking a look at those instead.
