I am 31 years old. I am a teacher. I used to play games like this at the arcade and on my NES all the time. This game was a lot of fun. This was in a time however, when there might be 3 different NPC skins for all the enemies. You literally killed the same dude over and over and nobody cared. You would get to the boss, who was always like 8'10" and his moves were always faster than your own, and it would make you throw the controller in an adolescent rage. At the time you would've thought that games like this would always be welcome, but alas, the simple button mashing fighter has all but gone the way of the Spotted owl. We have matured as gamers and now require amazing animations and lifelike fighting to keep our attention. If we can't use any object in the game space to inflict damage we are put off. If there is a toaster oven in the area, we want to cook the flesh off of our enemy with it. Hmmm, would someone please make a game where I can do that please. That would be awesome!
