I am still shocked to see what great reviews this game and its predecessor are getting. There are little value to the games, they are ridiculously repetetive, and rather short. There is almost no challenge factor for the most part, although there is one tough part in this game. Zero replayability, unless you find killing the same things over and over again with a different character amusing. Both Dark Alliance 1 & 2 should definitely be rentals, you'll be a bit disappointed I think if you buy them outright, since you will be finished with it in a week or less if you play with any regularity. I was hoping dark alliance 2 would have something new, but its basically identical to dark alliance 1 but with different monsters and character types.
The gameplay itself is fun for awhile, but does get repetitive. That said, if you were a big fan of the 1st one, you will be of the 2nd one as well.
