A beutiful looking game, but with some problems
Gameplay, I had a few problems. I did not like the battle system at all. It is a freaking card game battling systems. Man, now that brings nightmares of the Yu-Gi-Oh games, which I am past it all together. The worst part in the system is that you get the cards in random, in RANDOM! It would have been better if I had all card available without real time stuff so you can come up with a good stragety anytime in a battle. Maybe limit the number of times to use certain cards and then let them have time to recharge, a better challege. I wish also you you could get other blank card to create your own attack and defence cards. Also the camera was not really that go and is hard to see items or marks in the overview world.
The graphics are excellent. Not really any problem with them. I wish though it gave better close up views of the characters and be able to shows expressions with the lips moving (Sort or like Tales of Symphonia). Other then that the graphics are good.
The sound is pretty good mostly. The music is very beutiful in the game. The sounds in the enviroments and battles sound natural. The voices however is a weird story. The voices are really soft and sound like they are speaking in a metal pipe or tube or metal room. The voices needed a little more emotion as well. Other then the voicework the sounds are pretty much close to perfect.
Value... I am not sure I after want to buy it again. If the battle system was better, I may have been able to get through the whole game without too much of a problem. Maybe I may rent it on Gamefly. I hope when the Sequel to Baiten Kaitos comes out, they will fix the mistakes of the first game.
