After delays and set backs the bat finally comes to our game systems.

User Rating: 9.5 | Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3
Batman has faced countless villains in his over 60 years of service to Gotham city however as far as video games go he hasn't done much to impress. All this came to a change with Arkham Asylum and the expert presentation done in this amazing game. To say this game is revolutionary to the industry is an understatement. There are so many things that make it worth while that I feel like it is a slight injustice for me to write this review because no matter how I try my attempt at most will be lackluster. However, I will mention a few things that I came away with remembering and telling friends about.

First has to be the combat and and how immersive it is. You can take on 1 or 21 opponents and the combat feels like you are a true super hero capable of anything. You can even work out the combat to fit your style of play whether that is picking people off one by one with traps and hanging from gargoyles or jumping into the fray and pummeling them with counters and take downs.

Second is the graphics and how it just makes you melt into the environment around you. You feel like you are the one trapped on Arkham and not Batman himself. You begin to fear for your own life as you succumb to scarecrows nerve gas or as killer crock races after you through the sewers. However, even though at moment it is dark and bleak you have to just stand back and marvel at the beauty and artwork or everything around you.

This game is a must have for anyone no matter if you are a fan or not. I would suggest it to anyone even if you aren't a batman fan. It will change the way you think about video games and the directions you may think the industry is going.
