Better for a game, than Dark Knight was for a film.
Technically, it's splendid. From the sound of the batarang cutting through the air to the voice acting, to the music (which is up to the Batman movie standards) and the fists, cracks, bruises, the sound is crystal clear. You 'll love your SubWoofer with the explosions. Graphics are superior to ANY other Unreal Engine game out there both technically and - by far - artistically. Controls are immediate and the camera does an excellent job zooming in and out.
I could go on forever with how many aspects of this game are done just right. But beyond these "points" of the game that are perfect, it's the whole experience that makes you feel like "this is the game". The fluidity between the interaction with the Joker, beating up "matrix style" his goons, hunting them and inducing fear into them and above all the feeling that YOU are the Batman, is what makes this game out of this world. The whole game is full of ideas (the incredible "match the 2 parts of the ?" riddle gameplay), it drips quality all over the floor and from the gameplay point of view everything is set to please and satisfy the player. Let alone the addictive challenges.
We thank Rocksteady and Eidos for believing that they can bring us quality. They definitely delivered.
I save my 10 for the sequel....
ps. Drawbacks: not perfect lip-sync, not the best rag doll system, although both are very good.
ps2. The Dark Knight made an excellent film for Batman by bringing together many things, some of which are a great, complex script (ideal for a movie) and diving into the personalities of a bunch of great characters (aside from the great action etc...). This game is doing its job as a game in a better, more satisfying way.
