I love this game. I haven't had this much fun since Psychonauts. It's a combination of Super Metroid Exploration and Collection fueled by the desire to get every single item scattered throughout the world if only to be able to unlock all of the character biographies which are just what any comic book fan would dream of. This game knows just how to encase the lore. It doesn't drown you in it but it does let those who want to get a little deeper in do so.

The levels are all varied enough to keep things fresh and there are certain parts of the game where you will be sitting on the edge of the seat screaming how awesome the game is in its approach.

Also, the combat is smooth like butter. I'd almost compare it to that of a rhythm game. All you have to do is make sure that you hit your punch and directional button at the right time and then be sure to counter whenever you need to counter. This sounds easy, but whenever you're surrounded by 10 inmates, it can get a little precarious trying to keep your combo meter up.

The upgrade system is also cool. It's not like it's an RPG where you have to go grind away to be able to get anything done. Instead, the system offers Health Upgrades for those players who might be having trouble with the combat while also offering a plethora of tool upgrades that allow for a more diverse selection of take downs. Like I said, they aren't necessary but they do add a lot to the gameplay.
