Batman done right

User Rating: 9.5 | Batman: Arkham Asylum PC
This game has to be the best purchase I made this year. Never have I been so impressed by a Batman game, and I've played a few of them before.

The characters are buff and solid. The physx rocks. The storyline is great. The action is astounding and the voice acting is done by some of the same people from the Animated Series, which happens to be one of my favorite shows as a child.

Every Batman fan would be pleased with the amount of detail that went into this game to make it so true to the original comic. It's an absolute joy and pummel enemies while racking up continuous combos to unleash some deadly take down moves. At the same time, there are so many stealthy take downs that I wasn't aware the original Batman would ever perform. I would recommend this to any gamer, Batman fan or not, just because it's so damn good!

Aside from the story, players can also choose to replay challenges that happened throughout the story. This is also sickening fun because it happens to be some of the best moments of the game, replayed! Try to beat a players time or score is more challenging that it sounds because there is so much you can do with strategy in this game. If it's a score challenge, you just can't mash the buttons and expect a high score. You have to coordinate your attacks in a fashion that is effective against the different classes of enemy without causing any injury to yourself. In addition, time trials are amazingly difficult because you need to maximize the number of takedowns in the shortest time while meeting a set of objectives. It is especially amazing when you watch some youtube videos to see how someone beat your score or time by a huge margin. It gives you ideas of how to strategize when replaying the game, which I happened to do.

Overall, I have nothing remotely bad to say about this game and I look forward to the next one.
