Arkham Asylum has earned it's perfect ten

User Rating: 10 | Batman: Arkham Asylum PS3
With one small thing that could have been only added to the experience... playing as the joker in story mode, but still having the chance to play as the smiling mad man can be yours in brawl/extras mode. He's a different kinda fighter (so you can't fight with out laughing at his flailing arms,) but this is the most pleasing and imaginative game I have played in a long while. The riddles drove me crazy... (would have been in the right place anyways) until I figured out the trick to it, now detective mode was simply stunning and helpful along the way. I was blown away by the responsive controls and the fluent as well as flowing combat system, but loved the element of stealth and loved the many ways to take down an enemy. The Asylum was a visual treat... something I'd expect from anything to do with Batman, not to mention each Villain was memorable... if not nightmare material, or causing such a nightmare (Killer Kroc's Lair) and left the world of Batman... more enticing every time I picked up the controller. It is a game I don't think I can ever get tired of playing, but once everything is said and done... all the clues and Riddler trophies were collected along with stories of Arkham... it was sadly over.
