Not only is this a great licensed game, and a great comic book character game-- it's an incredible game.
There are certain scenes that involve the Scarecrow. These scenes require special mention. These scenes are so well produced that I am truly in awe of the team that designed this game. The graphics, voice acting, and plot associated with the scarecrow scenes are simply put some of the best moments I've every experienced from a video game. Some of the scarecrow scenes are actually scary.
All right, i've said enough good things about the game-- here are some bad things (and this is just nitpicking.). They cram so many functions into each button that sometimes you can't perform a move fast enough because the right command prompt doesn't come up fast enough. The play control can be rather cumbersome at times, again because there are so many functions crammed into each button. There are times when you fight henchmen doped up on venom. They charge at you, and you have to dodge them. For some reason, the games goes into slow motion mode and it's just frustrating and unnecessary. it just slows down the flow of the game.
These are some minor problems that you'll deal with in order to experience the rest of the game. I bought this game for $20 bucks, and it was worth it. The only reason why I gave this game a 9.5 instead of a 10 is because Arkham City is coming out later this year and I'm hoping that game is better and earns the 10.
Bottom line-- this game is awesome. It's a lot of fun. If you're a batman fan, this might be the best game you'll ever play.
