I thought infamous 2 was the superhero game of the year....i was wrong.
Arkham city is a peace of art, I know this sounds weird but old rickety, bummed out arkham city, looks beautiful, the broken street signs flickering in the dark, to the waves crashing on the shore, arkham city's graphics and environmental setting is amazing, a work of art. if you have played the previous game you will become well known with the fighting style. this great free flow fighting system now allows 2 counters at once and a epic new gadget system to integrate into fights. i could be pulling one man in with the bat claw while freezing another with Mr. freeze grenades only to counter another thug behind you, no doubt, this games fighting system certainly makes you feel like batman.
Arkham city has also added a entire new map, adding a free roam style to the game. along with batman are allot of his enemies, people like joker, two face, mad hatter and of course the riddler and his infamous puzzles. allot of the villains in this game got their fair share of spotlight time, that is except for two face, it really seems like he wasn't really introduced as a threat. The first encounter with him takes 5-10 mins to complete at the most! other charectors have puzzles and buildings you go through in order to catch him, but not two face. you walk in hit some baddies and catch the guy, without a sweat.
A great new addition to this game is cat woman, if you don't buy the game new i recommend you get her as DLC, cause she is worth it. once you beat the game you can switch her on and off any time. her movement animations are great, how she swings around the city. her fighting style is even more graceful. cat woman does flips lands on enemies and uses her pounce attack, while batman just beats them repeatedly in the face ( he makes it to obvious that his childhood sucked). this game deserves its score 9.5/10 thank you for reading my review
