I had been eagerly anticipating the release of this title and was utterly shocked at how poorly it played. The controls are by far the worse aspect of the game. The character moves like he has a splint on each appendage and when interacting with your surroundings this inability will cause you to die .... many many times over. The game is horrific from the minute it turns on. Moving around causes the screen to shift into different angles which are directly opposite to what it was before (ie: going up the ladder holding left -- screen shifts and you are still holding left to make him move right). This is just poor mechanics. The camera angles are fixed and can not be controled. The angles that you do get are not flowing in any sense and are jarring from scene to scene. Even something to as simple as swining on the batcable is flavorful of rigid movements. You wonder how this thing ever got released and put onto the shelves. How could someone honestly sit there and say that this is a good idea? Believe me when I say you will sit there after just a few moments of playing and shake your head and think....I am never getting these last 20 minutes of my life back. It's sad when the box art is the highlight of your game.
