So much fun.
That's the great thing about Battalion Wars is that you get multiple units at you're disposal to use. Now, I hear a lot of people complain about the control scheme for this game and let me tell you... it doesn't take a genius to figure it out. I'll explain the control scheme.
This time around, you don't have the usual dual-stick configuration. You're using "Advanced" (notice the pun) controls. To put it simple, it's got the N64 style camera but that doesn't stop it from being a good game.
A button to shoot, B button to jump or somersault when locked on, X button is where you get to command your troops to follow you or stay put, Y button to send your units to a specific location (if targeting enemies, you'll units will automatically attack when you hit the Y button), C-Stick let's you select which units you want to give commands to (put it on the emblem to select all of them), Z button to select a unit you're C-Stick is on, L button to lock on, R button to freely look around.
So if you think about it, it's really not that hard. It's quite simple once you get the hang of it.
Now, getting back to the game at hand, let's talk graphics.
The graphics in this game are pretty well done, the environment is well made. The water and the land are made to look quite pretty. The cinematics in this game are very well done. See it for yourself if you don't believe me.
Now the VO's in this game are great. The foreign characters in this game actually sound like their ethnic backround.
All I have to say is, there is a lot of fun in this game with the simple controls, great VO's, awesome graphics, and the number of units at your disposal. The only problem with this game is... no muliplayer. The game could've been a hit if it had multi-player. Either way, you'll still have fun with this game.
Overall. 9.6, would've given it a 10 except it doesn't have multiplayer. But you gotta buy this game.
