RPG nostalgia

I was almost persuaded not to try this game, thanks to mediocre reviews. Now Im glad I bought it.

US comics author created the art (starting with movies and ending with locations) and it gives the game the same feeling that I had, when I was reading old comics with Constantine, Darkness or Wolverine, hidden under the blanket, long, after I was supposed to be sleeping. Its the same style as old JRPGs. There are autogenerated dungeons (8 in total), which are much better then I expected them to be. Almost every time I visited them, I found something new.

Sure, the game involves some grinding (but the changing dungeons made it more interesting for me) and amount of monsters is limited (in city of bandits you will find... bandits! And couple of machines. And thats it. Which is logical.) And you will find variations of the same type through the island. (Ice slime, Green slime, etc... you know the stuff, right?:)). Having equipment of decent level is more important, then having high level. There is a lot of perks, that differ from character to character and you can change them anytime you want, according to situation.

The world is not big, I would say its exactly as it should (especially after every second company decided to milk the free worlds to the point where I became sick of those).

So... consider it and excellent indie game from a bunch of guys, that wanted to finish the story started in a comics of the same name as the game. Don't expect incredible CGI, 3D awesomeness or whatever. Its just a simple RPG, giving you exactly that, what it promised.
