My quick review of Battlefield 1943!
The game currently only offers three (3) maps, three (3) different soldiers (each with their own specialties and weapons), and one (1) game mode (capture the flags). There is no story mode in this game, it's strictly online gaming. For those who expect a lot from this game... don't. Although the game is extremely fun to turn on and play, people will be disappointed if they tried to compare it to a full blown BATTLEFIELD game. This shouldn't be the case since the game is only $14.99.
The game offers a quick matchmaking and allows squad assembly, where you can invite friends to join your squad and lunch into a game. The gameplay is extremely fun. I personally compare it to the game play of COD:W@W. This might be different from person to person. It's a very smooth game.
The game doesn't offer customizable characters, perks, or weapons. This allows for a well balanced game where everyone is practically equal and you can choose from one of the three styles that suit you, or bounce between them like I do, depending on the heat of the battle and the severity of needs. You can also fly planes, drive boats, and of course, cars and tanks. You could also be strategic and plant satchels on the cars and ride them through enemy camps and blown them up! Make sure you are far away from the car when you do this!
Overall, thus far I found the game to be enjoyable and I find myself logging on to the PSN and straight to the game for a couple of hours of gaming here and there. It's a must buy PSN titles in my opinion... and for the price, you can't go wrong!
