Good game, well forth the pricetag.

Ahh… BF 1943. Its basicly the equivalent of WaW for CoD. Takes what made BF BC great, thros some slight tweaks in, and manages to still keep the greatness of BF BC. For 15 bucks, this download only, multiplayer only game is well worth its small price tag. It ships with 4 maps, 3 for planes, tanks, jeeps, and infantry, and one with only planes. The maps are large and well put together. The almost cartoonish way the game is depicted looks great. For a game that's only 500 MBs, it looks fantastic. The game play is good, but shallow. There are no unlockable weapons, just 3 classes with the same weapons over and over again, which does get boring. However, the classes are balanced very well. The rifleman, is the best all around class. Its ok at short ranges, ok at long ranges and great at mid. It can destroy tanks, and will probably be your go-to class. Snipers are your long range threats. However, I find them to be pretty decent short-range too, as there pistol does quite a good amount of damage. A lot of people whine how it's a 2 shot kill, unless it's a headshot. I have no problems with that. The maps are so huge, that many times the sniper has the chance to get off two shots on you. If it was a one hit kill, it would be very overpowered. The last unit is infantry. They come equipped with an SMG. It good short-range, and medium range, and terrible long range. It is basically the anti-tank class, as it has a bazooka. The vehicles are fun, with the planes being fun to fly, but useless against infantry and tanks. The tanks are fun, but not overpoweringly good. Its all balanced well. All in all, this game is a great pickup for 15 bucks, and even if you have never played a shooter before, its still worth a buy.
