limited everything, but strangely addictive (short review)

Even though i only played the demo and have not played the game, which is only 15 dollars, i think i have the general feel of Battlefield 1943.

This is the kind of PSN game that Sony has been trying to achieve, games with lower resolution and less all around memory needed to support the game.

Battlefield 1943, when compared to disc-based games like Call of Duty or MGS4, it has fewer maps, fewer guns, fewer inventory items...fewer everything. This is not only in the demo its in the actual game too. You have three different classes to choose from after joining a game in one of only a few maps. There is a sniper, an rifleman, and mobile infantry w/ an automatic weapon. And if you dont play online multiplayer then u should stop reading this review because battlefield 1943 has no campaign.

However, this game does have its upsides. The most major advantage to remember about Battlefield 1943 is its only 15 dollars compared to the sixty dollars for most other games. Let me do the math for you. Thats 45 dollars: enough to buy three or four additional PSN games. Dallors and cents aside though i still feel the the string point to this game is its vehicles: boats, jeeps, tanks and even airplanes, and well-placed machine-gun nest and other weaponry. Additionally, by making fewer guns the makers of this game can spend more time on anything else.

So, in summary battlefield 1943 brings new aspects to world war two games. For a fourth of what youd spend on other PS3 games you can shoot people, blow up tanks, and, oh, i forgot, almost anything is destructible. Now thats some serious bang for your buck.
