A solid game both online and out but if you can just play for multiplayer.

Coming in as the first Battlefield title on the consoles doesn't quite live up to the PC version but is definitely a solid game. Both singleplayer and multiplayer will keep you entertained for a long time. The singleplayer is by for the most unique compared to any FPS on the consoles to date with its new hotswapping feature. Instead of dieing and restarting the level you can simply switch to someone that has a particular weapon you need or is in a vehicle. The singleplayer is also different with the fact that your given broader objectives and no matter how you get there and how you eliminate the enemy will mess up the scripting of the game. You will see dozens of your A.I. fighting side by side and actually showing some good A.I. compared to your common A.I. that just stands there and shoots at nothing.

By far the main reason you should by this game is for online play. Despite lag this is the cream of the game and where you should spend the majority of your time playing. There are two types of games: Conquest and CTF. Conquest is a game where you must capture enemy spawnpoints while protecting your own and not running out of "tickets". CTF is well capture the flag and return it to your side. Rank advancement is pretty easy except for medals. Medals can be pretty hard to obtain if your playing with experienced players and can keep newer guys from ranking up as fast as they should be but it adds to the enjoyment and addiction to online.

Overall BF:MC makes a great start for the series on the console. It offers a lot of potential in the future and is definately worth the money you will spend on it.
