Fantastic marketing manages to elevate the game to grand heights only to then find an extremely lackluster experience.

Lackluster: Lacking in vitality, force, or conviction, uninspired, not shining; dull. All major reviewers can't deny the mediocre campaign; as do I. There's no innovation present (at least for console there isn't). A run down of what the game offers: 24 player online (it's been done), destructible environments ( it's been done in BFBC series, and extremely well), co-op (online only, and it feels lacking as you can play co-op split screen in many other games), vehicles (it's a trademark of BF series, so nothing new there). The game brings basically new maps, weapons and vehicles, characters, but the same formula remains. The game modes are the same, nothing ground-breaking there. The servers crash often. You have to download an HD pack in order for the game to look somewhat decent. The game was obviously meant for PC, it should have stayed for PC, and we should have received a game developed for console, not ported.
I hate to admit that I was one of those fans who supported/defended the game through the marketing "Blitzkrieg" of this game, saying foolish things like, "how can you purchase MW3 when it's the same as MW2". The sad part is that BF3 is bringing the same formula to the table, and actually whats worse is that the game visually looks more outdated than its predecessor.
