This is hands down the buggiest and most broken game I have ever played on console!

User Rating: 2 | Battlefield 3 (Limited Edition) X360
Being a fan of battlefield 2, bad company and bad company 2, I was excited to play BF3. I would have preferred to play it on PC, but my computer would only provide a marginal improvement in graphics and all my FPS friends are on xbox live. I also had my reserves, as Bad Company 2 started giving me "failed to connect to EA online" messages every time I tried to play (starting this summer). Nonetheless, the graphics, return of prone, and fresh additions drew me in.
However, to my disappointment, the game is almost unplayable in certain aspects. First off, the single player campaign often presents moments where I have to restart from a checkpoint because my squad will clip through a door without opening it, or I will get stuck underground or inside a wall. This isn't rare either. It happens approximately once an hour. Let it be known that I have the single player disc and the texture pack installed.
Now to the actual unplayable part: the multiplayer aspect has all the same issues as Bad Company 2. I joined my first game and played 2 minutes, before being disconnected. I also keep getting the "Failed to connect to EA Online" message, and only being able to connect after several retries over an hour period. This isn't a launch issue, as the same problem existed for Bad Company 2 just several months ago, and EA was aware of it, as it is a wide-scale problem that is constantly filling the EA and other game chat forums. They even responded that they were working on it, in their forums. However, they have done little to prove it. This is also not an issue with internet connection or NAT settings, as my 360 is completely opened on the correct ports and all non-EA games work fine online.
With busted servers and buggy campaign, I suggest skipping out on this one and maybe all other EA games, until they decide to put more effort in releasing finished products, or at least fixing their wide-scale server issues.
