Solid, fun FPS action.

Battlefield is back and better than ever. First off, compared to Bad Company 2, it feels different...but not in a bad way. Just more mature and refined for lack of better words. That applies to everything from the menu screen to the single player story, to the multiplayer as a whole. I've played an hour or so of the single player. It plays well enough....but a bit generic. You should enjoy the single campaign, but it wont blow your mind by any means. The multiplayer is where BF3 stands out. Customize all your weapons, a variety of maps and game modes, great hit detection , good sound , better graphics and all in all an improvement over Bad company 2. Will it be able to hold its own against the 800 pound gorilla thats soon to be in the room known as Modern Warfare 3? Time will tell. But on it's own its still a great game worth owning regardless of how well MW3 does.
BTW-Im thinking we have a lot of BF3 bashers and MW3 fanboys running this games score down a bit....Maybe you dont like it, but its hardly "abysmal". Quit being childish. If you played it and dont like it based on the game alone and not compared to TEH BESTUS GAME EVA!! MW3, then keep it to yourself. I have MW3 pre-ordered just as I did this game and plan on enjoying both games. No need at all for competition. Its foolish. Again, nothing against those who honestly didnt like the game. Just a little agitation towards the kids (im guessing) who are playing BF3 vs MW3.
