Game Disappoints on too many levels to be deemed what it was marketed as

User Rating: 7 | Battlefield 3 (Limited Edition) X360
I was excited for Battlefield 3 as a fan of DICE and their frost bite engine from Battlefield Bad Company 2. They did little to upgrade the game above the previous outing as far as game play. It was disappointing to have to install a 1.5GB file on my Xbox in order to have HD graphics, as well as have it across two separate discs, one for multiplayer and the other for single player. Adding to the problem is the multiplayer server issues on day 1. Maybe they are fixed now, maybe not.

Still can't quit between matches and have to wait for the next match to start to quit out. Which seems like something they would have fixed at the get go. Use of Origins is disconcerting for logging into the battlefield log website. It is not a user friendly website and gives little in terms of statistics especially when compared to previous game stat analysis like Bungie offers for Halo.

Short single player affair has received lack luster enthusiasm from the press and fans alike, especially as it is too linear and feels WAY to linear and you can't blow everything up. Why can't I blow through a wall?

Quick list of issues that should have been addressed:
Multiplayer
- Leaving game lobby between matches is a must, why not allow it? Can it be patched?
- 187MB patch on day one...seriously?
- DLC that is just a code to unlock game disc content...WTF, why do they keep doing this crap to us?
- Online server issues, i couldn't join anything but squad Death Match games without it telling me i had connection issues - I thought this is why they had a Beta!

Singleplayer:
- Story is short
- Rehashed story lines from competitive titles - lacks compelling content
- Not made a focal point of the game, just treated like a lack luster add-on
- Why can't we blow through walls?

Overall
- 2 discs? Really!
- 1.5GB download that has to sit on my console to see the game in HD? WTF?
- Graphically not as great as touted prior to launch (reflected in reviews)
