Not really what was expected...

First things first this is a very good game....in the multiplayer. The single player campaign leaves a lot to be desired. Its short and does contain a few bugs. Sometimes when the enemy AI is only partially hiding behind covered and there is clear shot at the exposed part it just doesn't seem to work when shot at. The sensitivity of the controls takes some time to get used to and it can be inconsistent.Does feel very linear also - for a lot of the time your following an AI character with the word 'follow' written over it. It does have some good points - it looks pretty good and the acting in it is pretty good. The sound is realistic and there are some memorable levels.

The multiplayer is very good and a lot of fun. The levels are big and the variety of vehicles in each level makes it feel like a battlefield. The jets are a great addition but they take quite a while to get used to. The prone motion for a characters is an addition i welcome with mixed feelings. It is more realistic and allows for better cover but it does encourage some camping which can get frustrating. There are a lot of weapons to chose from and customisations. The battlelog is something different and a nice way to track your stats and see how they compare in the battlefield universe.

Overall im really enjoying this game but i did expect a bit more from Dice especially on the single player front. BFBC2 was brilliant but this game doesn't seem like a big step forward. Maybe that's down to the hype this game received. If your a fan of shooters i'd definitely recommend it - for the multiplayer!
