Multiplayer is everything the Battlefield series is famous for

Where to begin - lets start with the bad.

The campaign isnt all that interesting mostly treat it as practice for the real deal which is the multiplayer and there are some glitches with certain achievements (ex. I swear I downed that Jet with one stinger yet still no achievement unlock).

Moving on to the better points the music I wasnt all that impressed with it was nice hearing the battlefield theme back after its absence in Bad Company 2 but I wasnt a huge fan of the remix I miss the sound of it from 1943. The rest of the game sounded great the guns sound fairly realistic although visually the textures on them werent quite what I expected from the new Frostbite engine when compared with the rest of the game. The environments look beautiful with stunning lighting and particle effects, I cannot praise the new engine enough.

Gameplay is fantastic guns handle well with realistic feeling recoil (especially in the case of LMGs) which make you want to deploy the bipod whenever possible and only fire without it as a last resort. Suppression effects are interesting the blurring of the edges of the screen keeps things interesting, the flashlight attachments that blind opponents but give you position away are neat as well. I cant say the same for the laser sight which also blinds you with red when point anywhere in your general direction.

Coop is also fun interesting practice again with a friend for multiplayer and to unlock a few guns along the way.

Multiplayer definitely not only encourages teamplay it necessitates it assuming you and your team care about winning or losing rather than just the fabled K/D ratio work on your K/D when defending. On missions like Operation Metro although the teams start balanced once in the subway if the defenders can hold the attackers at the bottleneck its a shooting gallery for the defenders and without a coordinated effort from the attackers the defenders will always win. Planes I've found are insanely hard to fly, helicoptors I've gotten used to - I had figured the choppers would be useless with planes around however helicoptors can be very useful for taking out planes. The biggest trick with a plane or helicoptor is it truly is a wasted resource if just a pilot in in it as the helicoptors rockets are medicore against both infantry and vehicles, a gunner is needed to fire the infantry devastating cannon and vehicle demolishing missiles.

This game is definitely worth picking up as its multiplayer will provide hours of fun with no 2 games ever playing alike - for those who got the limted edition just another couple weeks for Back to Karkand.
