While Modern Warfare and Battlefield 3 are two different games in their own right, the best experience goes to BF3 without a doubt. The variety of weapons, vehicle upgrades, and large maps trump the small, frenzied, and poorly constructed maps of MW3. Not only is the gameplay more realistic, the destructible environments make the experience all the better in BF3 compared to MW3.

I do not have any bias towards the Battlefield franchise, as this is the first Battlefield game I've bought. However, even having bought all Modern Warfare and Call of Duty games, I sold MW3 only a few weeks after having it because I don't even play it anymore. Battlefield is a refreshing reminder as to how competitive multiplayer games can be cooperative as opposed to a cracked-out, spawn camping, perk-fest like the MW games have evolved into.
