A different type of Battlefield

User Rating: 8.5 | Battlefield 3 PS3
While I haven't been the most hardcore Battlefield Player out there, I still believe this is a solid game when it is compared to other shooters on the market. I have had my brief moments of exciting multiplayer back in the old Battlefields, yet I did not grow a strong connection to them like other players. What I can relate to is the overflow of modern shooters nowadays and how the war between them affects the FPS games. To me BF3 stands out, and forces people to rely on teamwork and strategy. Plainly said, it allows you to create strong bonds between you and your teammates in order to achieve victory. There has been a lot of stress on teamwork in games, and so as not to sound too cliche, BF3 makes use of that in some unique way. The Multiplayer in BF3 is rewarding, and is filled great unlocks. What I found that was also exciting, was the 2 player mode. In that, you feel you are an Army of Two, yet the mode is hard and requires coordination and tactics. While you might feel outnumbered and outgunned, that feelings gives you that drive to focus on small details, like having that mine placed in the right place, or having your teammate lay down covering fire with his M249 while you take down a T-90 with your Javelin. Small preparations can lead to big results. While I did not stress on the single player in this review, all I can say is that I am glad that BF3 have a single player mode which provides a different take from just multiplayer
