Most people compare this game to COD, but they should be comparing it to MAG.

I'll skip the campaign review and go straight to online since that's what most people care about. I'll start by saying everyone needs to compare apples to apples and not apples to oranges. Yes COD and BC both are war games. And yes both offer fun addictive online action, but the comparisons stop there. I personal like COD better, but it doesn't stop me for enjoying BC. Each offers different aspects of a war game. BC in truth should be compared more to MAG on the PS3 than any other game. The reason being is they are nearly identical when it comes to gameplay! I sometimes wonder if Zipper and DICE are the same company. They have a very similar leveling system. Offer some of the same classes (Assault, Medic, Engineer, Recon). Their weapons and upgrades are very very similar with slight variations. They both have vehicles you can control or capture. They both place you in squads which I stress "need" to work together to win. And the award system is pretty much the same as well. Now the difference between the two is MAG forces you to choose a clan and once chosen you can't switch and MAG also has a baaagillion people playing at once (SNIPERS EVERYWHERE!!!). Now after saying all that BC has great graphics and destructive mechanics like no other game. You can literally bring buildings crashing to the ground. Great fun! And the sound effects are top notch. Bullets whizzing by, explosions, and weapon fire sounds incredible! Having surround sound with this is awesome. Gameplay is pretty fun as well, but can be frustrating for those who think of themselves as Rambo. I recommend finding cover the second you spawn. There is always a marshmallow camping sniper out there who can't wait to make your head explode. There will be no heroics in this game like barging in a room full of baddies and taking them all down and saving the hot blonde tied to a chair. Squads MUST work together! All in all both MAG and BC are fun games, but my only gripe with both would have to be the leveling system. The online games can last up to an hr and the reward for lasting to the end doesn't equal the effort. For example, in one game I was a sniper, took out some baddies, game lasted 45 mins, lead our squad in kills, we won the game, but for all my time and effort I only earned 1230 pts?!?! Basically saying here's a dime for the dollars with of effort. To say the least leveling can be very slow! In conclusion if you enjoy run and gun stick with COD you'll probably find BC frustrating, but if you want to try your hand at dodging sniper fire and long strategic battles BC or even MAG is for you. Game On!!!!
