Call of Duty who, Modern Warfare what, Battlefield is where it's at!
Graphics:
Honestly, the physics in this game are amazing! When you want to blow a hole in a building, you can see the debris flying through the air in every direction. Also, the explosions are amazing as well, especially when blowing a hole in the wall, it just looks awesome. The only thing I did not like, were some of the character models because I find they took a notch down of the graphic area. Unfortunately, I don't really care, but a lot of people out there may not like it. Especially since the character models in MW2 are better, but that means nothing. Throughout the single player campaign, each cut scene looks awesome, and that's where the character models explode with personality. Even the guns look amazing and have very distinctive features on each one.
Gameplay:
The only aspect I love about BF series, is they manage to keep the controls easy to use for new-comers and veterans alike. I know for the Vet's, they have an upper hand advantage, but it doesn't mean they will always win. So, for those of you who love multi-player online, there are quite a bit of selection you have, which are the following:
Squad Deathatch - It's the basic MP mode out there, it plays with 4 squads and one infantry fighting vehicle, and the first team who gets 50 kills wins the match.
Rush: Players must destroy or defend pairs of Com Stations in a certain area. When the team manages to destroy both Com Stations, they move up ahead to the next station. You can destroy these Com stations if you plant charges, use explosive weapons, or destroy the building to fall on it. This is also like Gold Rush, from Bad Company 1.
Conquest: Players must capture and hold the flags as long as possible. While doing this, each kill of the other teammates will reduce their teams tickets by one, and the other teams tickets reduce automatically once a certain side has half of the map in their possession.
Squad Rush: Squad rush puts for players against another four players.
As you can tell, there are a lot of options to do online. Also, there are 4 classes to choose from:
Medic: who has the ability to heal teams and revive dead ones. Also, they use Heavy Machine guns.
Recon: Who can call in motor strikes when unlocked, and are good for long range kills with sniper rifles.
Engineer: They have the ability to heal vehicles, also, they have RPG's and anti-tank mines for heavy duty vehicles. They use sub-machine guns.
Assault: Which are your basic run and gunners!
BF:BC2 also enables trophies, so for those trophy collectors, you will have some fun getting these ones.
Sound:
Another magnificent area in the VF series. Each weapon sounds as powerful or as weak as they should. The best part about the sound is the voice acting, but the explosions as well. When you are standing by a place that just got hit with an Missile or RPG, your hearing becomes dis-oriented. Which is an awesome feeling. It brings the real life sounds to the gaming industry. Also, the conversations between your crew in SP is spot on and hilarious!
Story:
The story starts off during WWII before the atomic bombs were released by the United States. You are going to Japan to find a scientist who has a special device called the Aurora. You managed to collect the scientist, and the so called aurora, but the blast of the atomic bomb is so powerful, that the ocean becomes violent with a huge tsunami, which leaves you wondering if they survived. From there, you are brought back to the present day, with your regular crew of Bad Company in Russia. You are there to find the Aurora, and it being the final service your squad has to do. Of course, that never works out. Once you get the Aurora, you manage to bring it back to realize that it's a fake. So, Army General Braidwood assigns them to a special operation of stopping Aurora.
Overall:
BF:BC2 has an amazing game. Finally, a game that actually has both a good Single player and Multi-player. Honestly, if you are unsure about this game, don't be. Go get it because it's going to be the best shooter for a while.
P.S: I didn't want to compare the game with MW2 because I believe these are two different games.. but if I had to choose one... it would be BF:BC2... lol
Happy Gaming!
