Fun but short. Less humor and unique features - becoming another Modern Warfare...

I've just beaten Bad Company 2's single player on the second day of play. Wow, this game is really short. All flash and bang, no substance. It's a shame the world is less open than before. But still, it is an okay shooter.

I think Battlefield Bad Company 2 is more like Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare. You get the satellite briefing like Modern Warfare. The humor part has been tuned down. Even the smiling face on the grenade has been cut. This isn't good.

Although it doesn't make Bad Company 2 bad to follow Modern Warfare, it is losing its own characterisitics. For starters, Bad Company features no checkpoints but constant respawns. Some players hate it but I love it. It doesn't matter which choice is better but it is a unique Bad Company feature. In Bad Company 2, checkpoints are used and they are sparsely placed. The health syringe is another special feature cut from the second game. Auto health replaces it and you get hurt badly quite fast and healing takes notably longer than Modern Warfare.

That's it. The single player of Bad Company 3 better bring back three elements - humor, respawns and health syringe. EA has been making mistakes of breaking franchises - the street racing Need for Speed series is no more but just another track racer. Now I sense a dangerous trend to make Bad Company just another Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

If anyone in EA sees this, please stop. It's very unwise.
