If you think that first person shooters are all just the same, you might want to think again. True enough, there are countless first person shooters in the gaming world today. These range from war games, alien invasions, zombies, etc. I being a fan of shooters can't let go of the fact some are still better than the others. Imagine a first- person- shooter that is so brilliant that it makes you feel like in a real war with real enemies. That would be Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

This game has a very engaging campaign where you travel through diverse environments that would put your tactical abilities to the test. These terrains range from dense jungles, freezing mountains and villages teeming with hostiles. All these add to your overall battle experience and once you're done with them, you'll feel satisfied just like a true war veteran. Aside from the terrain, another thing that adds more feel and machismo factor in the game are the guns. These guns are well tuned and firing them is an absolute blast. The game's naysayers say that the guns have too much recoil and it spoils the shooting experience. I say that the recoil that they hate adds more realism to the game. Doesn't it? This specific feature allows you to hone your shooting skills so you won't have to waste your bullets shooting like a mad monkey. Another feature that sets this shooter aside from the rest is its unique destruction engine that allows you to blast objects into oblivion. This is not only fun but this also poses a tactical approach to the battle. You might enjoy blasting buildings with your grenade launcher from afar but when you get there, you will soon find out that you ended up blasting your possible cover too. This adds to the fact that the AI soldiers aren't just your average moppets. They surely earned their degree in shooting and can pick you off even from a distance. The game also provides you with various vehicles ranging from Abrams tanks, jeeps, ATVs, and Apache helicopters that can rain hellfire missiles on your foes. Nothing beats the experience of bombarding a town from afar and watch the smoke rising from the destruction you left behind.

What more can I say? All in all this is a great game to play with all its realism factor hyped up, the tactical approaches to game all diversified, plus a great multiplayer that few can contend with. Get this game and be a member of the Bad Company. Bang…
