Will this game be worth you gold bars, as you quest for more, or a re u just wasting your retirement fund?
1) QUEST FOR GOLD (the motivation in single player, and a mode in multi player)
2) BLOWING STUFF UP! (90% of the expansive world is destructible, y not give it a try)
The Single player is expansive, probably disappointing, and a medium length. There is a decent plot, weapons to find, places to explore, Russians to own, great music, graphics and gold to find! But what sucks about the experience is the fact that enemies are very easy to kill. Their AI is terrible, taking a while to kill you with a sub machine gun... AT POINT BLANK! But if you are looking for an epic single player game, like COD4 lvl, this is not the game for you, but if you like an expansive game that feels like a sandbox experience then go ahead! HOP ON THAT GOLF CART AND HEAD STRAIGHT TO THE GOLD!
The sandbox feel is also transfered to the multi player, with the large expansive maps. Although there is one mode, Gold Rush, but the game is still very fun, even with 24 players (yes i know its small) BUT STILL the game feels great online! Even though this is my first BF game, its still felt awesome to me, the balence of vehicles, and amount of fun i had from just 1 mode. The maps are large like single player and of course 90% destructible. There is conquest mode too, however it doesn't feel as fun as Gold rush, which is a true sand box experience online! This would have hook me to the game, but there wasn't a command system like in 2142, so don't expect squads, although that adds to the feel of bad company, all of the gold you can take!
Bad company is improving in many ways from Battlefield 2, yet it doesn't improve in multi player the same way 2142 does. However New graphics, intense music, and a story mode should have series veterans coming for this game
The good
Can really blow out chunks of buildings and shelters
Great graphics, and sound
Matching music
Great multi player and an addictive mode
Silly jokes and story
good variety of vehicles
The bad
Bad AI
No skirmish mode
No split screen or coop of some sort
Single player is good but not great
Broken squad system, with no leaders
only 24 players per map -_-
Battlefield bad company is a beautiful game, with stunning graphics, neat sounds and powerful (and silly) music, all adding to the feel + showing off the power of the Frostbite engine, which does one thing well blowing up stuff! So if you love the fact you can blow anything up BUY THIS GAME! IF you came just for an awesome Multi player mode, expect some difficulties (with only 1 mode and only controller support, no mouse or keyboard) Battlefield veterans should brace themselves for something new (the analog stick and DICE engine)
FUN FACT: This game deserves a 90% since the environment is 90% destructible XD but seriously, this game got the Guinness world records Award for MOST DESTRUCTIBLE GAME EVER MADE! in the 09 gamers edition
