Great in it's own way

User Rating: 8 | Battlefield Hardline PS4

Battlefield Hardline greatly reduces the scale of battle from the military based, previous installations in the series. Nobody should be caught off guard by this because of the game's nature being Cops V. Robbers. I believe what truly factors into this difference is the lack of Jets which required vast amounts of map space to fly them without going out of bounds. Compared to BF3 & 4, I interpret the series taking a lean towards Call of Duty in that it is smaller scale and the pace of play is faster, but in my opinion, this is better. Vehicles are still present, and there is less nonsense like kill-streaks or point-streaks or whatever, and other gobbly-gook thats not necessary. Instead, Hardline is to the point, and the team play is still felt a lot more in the online game modes than in games like CoD. Single player is reasonably fun and interesting in how it is done like a cop drama TV show. You buy BF for the multiplayer though and the maps are all fun for different and the same reasons. Hollywood Heights is followed by Riptide and they are both maps with a mansion in the middle, kinda strange; but they are fun maps! Blood money is probably the best game mode. I'll miss tank warfare but I think it is okay to take a break from it because this is fun in its own way. Once BF5 arrives, military fighting will seem that much more fresh! Long story short, Hardline is a Battlefield game for sure, with a slight tint of CoD in terms of pace, which I think is a good switch-up for the series.
