Bayonetta is one of those games that drops you into the action from the get-go and keeps it going right through to the end seamlessly with easy to use controls.
The story....is....well.....it's there, but at the same time, nowhere to be found. I played the game through twice paying careful attention and it still left so much unanswered. The way I see it, if a game has a lacking story but exceptional gameplay, than it pretty much makes up for it.
The controls are easy to use right from the beginning and they mesh well with the intended gameplay. With the use of mostly guns, flashy moves, some other weapons, and a fully stocked arsenal of special magic to throw around, every fight will be satisfying and leaving you amazed at some of the funny, awesome, and sometimes strange moves you can pull off.
While this is a Sega game, the Sega influence is obvious with the use of the "halo" rings as money and the flaunting around of the main character's body.
This game is exceptionally well designed when it comes to graphics. The enemies you pound into the ground constantly have unique and occasionally weird designs, but are visually appealing nonetheless.
With the completely lack of true story, exceptional gameplay, and outstanding graphics, this game is a must-have for fans of brawler type games. If you aren't a fan, it's still worth a play.
