I wish I got LEGO Star Wars II at the time instead of this.
Now, I has some of the great elements from LEGO Star Wars, such as funny cut scenes, I liked the power up system, unlocking the Piraka as playable characters, and the Piraka Playground was funny, too. Also, the music was pretty awesome. I still hum it. The problem was the game play.
Certain elements from the LEGO Star Wars game shouldn't be in it or toned down a bit. The gold statue thing is kinda stupid for a first person shooter. Also is collecting coins. Now, if you gained money for every enemy you killed would have been fine. Also, bosses are mostly hard. Too hard for a game aimed at children. I liked how you need to have different elements to do certain things. That was a cool idea. Now, the main problem, the fire button. It's X. That's a face button. It's really, really hard to push a face button, and aim at the same time in a FPS. That's why you use the shoulder button. You don't need all the shoulder buttons for character switching. Just one set.
BIONICLE Heroes would have been better if it was a platformer like LEGO Star Wars. That would have been so much better. FPS and certain elements like coin collecting in the levels do not go together. That is why I was disappointed by BIONICLE Heroes.
