Early Review: No bugs, No widescreen problems, No Complains at all.... It is everything i was expecting it to be!!!
i read about problems with widescreen, lots of bugs, installation problems and graphic glitches....
i am currently playing at a widescreen ratio of 16:9 (1366x768 resolution) with NO PROBLEMS AT ALL!!!.... NO bugs or glitches or cropped view... and the installation ran smooth and fast... i have an ATI Radeon HD 4650 (1 GB) and i am enjoying beautiful detail and effects!!! the game resolution was automatically set on 1366x768 and it's just perfect.... so i don't know if this game has problems with some worse graphic cards, but i've got nothing to complain about!!!
as for the game itself so far: the story is fascinating and intriguing, although so far, i haven't ran into anything the critic reviews haven't spoiled for me (but i read it gets even better)....
Rapture is looking more realistic than ever and the underwater scenes were fantastic!! the combat is the same as the first Bioshock so far... and yes maybe they should have made the Big Daddy (protagonist) a little stronger and able to handle more splicers at once.... btw the drill is very cool!
on the sound department, they did a great job with voice acting (especially Sofia Lamb's and Andrew Ryan's) and the sound effects of your surroundings make the game a lot more realistic...
So far my Review scores are:
Gameplay - 9
Graphics - 9.5
Story - 9
Sound - 10
Lasting Appeal - (Don't know yet)
Result: 9.5....
EDIT: To all of you complaining about the strength of the splicers, upgrading your weapons and abilities REALLY matters in this game and you see a lot of positive results by it....
