The game has it's moments, but the game play and overall realism isn't fully there.

Okay so I completed the game not too long ago and decided to put together my thoughts on the game. First let me start with the positives; despite what some people think the game is still good. The new weaponry is pretty fun to use. Every weapon you used in the first, except the grenade launcher, is different. The research is way more fun to do. The voice acting isn't as bad as some of these picky people think it is. The hack tool is an awesome addition to the game. The story, although not nearly as good as the first, is still excellent. Underwater was a good way too go it gives the game some realism that it so desperately needs. There's plenty of plasmids to choose from in the game. The idea of researching to get some of the plasmids was a good idea. The game has a nice flow to it. I like that they kept the moral system.

Now we get into the most annoying and frustrating aspects of the game. Let's start with the graphics. First off its outdated, looks pretty much like the original; I could even argue that the original has better graphics. The overall game play is practically the same, nothing that stands out. The next thing is probably the most annoying, frustrating, and pathetic aspect of the game and its the realism. First of all you're a big daddy and the developers "try" to make you think you are. They do this by the added helmet shape HUD and the look of your shadow, etc. That's all nice and good until you start fighting the splicers and other various enemies throughout the game. A simple splicer with a damn WRENCH can take over 1/4 of your health easily. Now I'm not saying that a big daddy should be invincible or have the same power as the big daddys you face in the game, but come on! I mean Jack, in the original, can take more hits than this character and he didn't wear any armor, until the end. Also, this isn't that big of an issue, but how the hell can you eat and drink stuff while wearing a helmet? Since you are so weak it makes the beginning kind of tough because you don't have any high end plasmids to rely on.

Well this is my quick review on the game. Still despite all that crap it still gets an eight. Its still a very fun game for any casual gamer.
