Honestly, I wasn't a huge fan of Bioshock. I used to be freaked out by the mention of the game due to its atmosphere. I knew it was a good game, but I had never played it. Then came along Bioshock 2. This game changed everything. Now, I wish I had played the original.
The single player in this game is very good. I've heard it is shortrer than the first, but I would not know since I haven't played the first one. It has a great story. You are put in the boots of a Big Daddy. You are basically trying to return to your Little Sister after you went into a 10 year coma. Along the way, you will find new guns and plasmids(powers) to help you in your quest. There are many unique plasmids, one may have you shooting flames, while one will summon a swarm of killer insects. They are all useful and fun to use. The guns are amazing, too. The Rivet Gun is my favorite, with the shotgun next in line. Being a Big Daddy, you also have a drill which is fun and gorey to use.
This game has included multiplayer, unlike its original. It has many maps to play on, and each one is well balanced. It also has a similar ranking system to Call of Duty, as you unlock new guns as you level up. What makes multiplayer fun is the inclusion of plasmids and the thrill of leveling up to unlock ew weaponry.
This game will blow your minds and is a must buy. The campaign could have been a little longer. The attention to detail is also extremely amazing, like if hyou are wet in multiplayer, shock attacks will affect you more, or walking into water when on fire will put it out. I recomend it to all who enjoy FPS's.
