Bioshock 2 finally came and went. I've been dying for a sequel since i played the original one. And i'm so happy i played it because Bioshock 2 delivers. One of the reasons is because you get to play as a freakin big daddy! Unfortunately, you don't really feel that powerful at the beginning of the game. You start getting that big daddynish near the end of the game which is a disspointment. See, you pretty much feel like you're the guy from the first one. You still have the same health and eve system. It's still hard to gather Adam. Bioshock 2 also doesn't feel as great as it did back when you played the first Bioshock. See, you've already been there and done that. It's so familiar that it's not that exciting. We explored the environment in the first one. The story is pretty compelling, but i wouldn't say it's the best cinematic story. The story is that you're a Big Daddy whose a father to a girl (his daughter) and his wife betrayed and made him kill himself. See, i don't get it. How the hell did you return all of a sudden when you shot yourself in the freakin head?! So anyways now you're out to rescue your daughter and take her from your evil wife. It goes on and on. I'm a lazy person so i have hards times writing reviews. Anyways, besides the story, there's multiplayer. The best mode and my recommendation is just to go with team deathmatch or deathmatch or whatever the normal mode is called. The grab-the-little-sister-and-defend (or whatever it's called) mode isn't as fun as i thought it would be. There are a bunch of other nerds out there who have a higher rank than me and it just doesn't feel fair that i'm like rank 8 or 9 and i have to compete against like rank 48. They should put people against people that have the same experience as them or a little bit more or less. I didn't get to try out Last Splicer Standing (sadly). Multiplayer is fun as long as you're playing free-for-all or team deathmatch. Most of the weapons are back and now there's a new weapon as well called the Speargun. I had a great time with the speargun, shooting people into walls. Priceless. Now, not only do you have worry about getting the adam from the little sisters by getting rid of the tough big daddies but also you have to worry about the Big Sisters (which only come after you if you harvest the little sisters). I think they killed it(the developers). They were planning to make the Big Sister the main boss but now they have hundreds of them roaming around. That's the reason it got delayed so many times. Besides all that crap, the graphics are still spectacular, the sound effects are great, and the creepiness is still there. The infamous atmosphere is still to be explored with new areas you haven't been to in the previous game. And now, you get to also travel in the water outside (i dont know how to say it). You get to walk in the sea, that's the best i can do. There's also 4 or 5 different endings now. Although i rented it and only got to see one of the endings. Even though there are some disappointments, you should still try it out. Because you would still be missing out, if you don't play this game. It has much more to deliver too. Buy it or rent it. Either way, you'll be glad that you played it.
