A great game that will be liked by all, loved by few.
Upon first playing Bioshock, you find yourself emersed in a game with some of the best graphics I have seen on the 360. For instance, when your plane crashes and you are wading in the ocean with flaming debris encircling you, the water looks perfect! The reflection off the water is equally stunning. From this point on, you know you are going to like the art of the game.
As for combat in game, the use of plasmids are the only thing that holds this above the rest. The combination of using you special powers with normal weapons works out nicely if you aren't too concerned about in depth weaponry. I could care less, I am more into stories...and that is why I love this game.
The story, above all else, is what is the most amazing part of this game. From the opening plane crash to the last seconds of the game, you will be mesmerized by the attention to detail and overall thoroughness of the storyline. Be sure to pick up all of the tape recorders and listen to each one or risk missing out on one of the best video game stories ever!
Overall, this is a great game that will be liked by all, but loved by few.
