Bioshock will leave you scared shi-less if played in pitch black darkness. Bioshock lives up to its reputation!
Bioshock is set in the 20th century where the machine gun had just been invented and many other scientific breakthroughs had happened. Rapture was built to escape the morals of the outside world so that scientists have no boundaries. One of the many scientific breakthroughs is plasmids which can enhance your body to make it capable of shooting fire, telekinesis and even shooting bees out of your hand!!
Bioshock has you sent to the undersea metropolis of Rapture where you have to fight your way through hordes of different enemies (the worst of which is the 'big daddy'). You meet with a person who seemingly is your friend who guides you through the many scary and sometimes confusing levels.
Some of the creatures found around Rapture have been found to include a resource called ADAM which can enhance your strength and be spent around the city at vending machines to buy more plasmids.
Bioshock is in my view an above average horror/shooter without being absolutely amazing. It has above average sound effects and voice acting and the graphics are great compared to many other shooters released in the same year (Hour of Victory...swish).
Bioshock is overall an excellent shooter with many unique weapons, ways to do things (hack). The effects of certain things are realistic as well like being able to set oil on fire and electrocute people in water.
Bioshock is a great game overall and I urge people to go to your nearest games retailer and BUY THIS GAME!!
