Overview:
I only need one word to describe this game "Perfect". This game does everything that right that other FPS have failed at or tried to improve on. To put in basic terms, it ranks up there with Half-Life2 in the WOW department. To start its the 1960's and you crash land in the ocean and sink into this circa 1950 under water utopia. You get there and find out that things are not so utopia and the games in same story flies off the handle from there. Gameplay:
I only got to play this game for a couple of hours at a friends house but from what I played, he control scheme is very simple. I had an easy time getting used to to the layout and the game has a very forgiving learning curve in the beginning. The power ups you obtain(I'm trying not to spoil too much of the games amazing plot) like firing lighting out of your hand really makes up for the fact that the gun weapons are later on in the game very weak against enemies. Graphics:
The art style alone in this game is simply amazing. The world is so big and open you can basically just roam the open hallways and ignore the objectives. The games engine is smooth and the frame rate seems very stable even in hectic battles. The back story to the downfall of this utopia is laid out all over the game. Its really worth looking for these if your at all interested in the games sci-fi movie plot. Other factors:
What can i find wrong with this game? Well the guns musts have been an after thought because some of them really suck when it comes to stopping power. The difficulty later on in the game is near impossible in some parts because he has to use these underpowered weapons due to the fact that hes out of special powers ups. Also saving like in Half-Life is a double edge sword if you have poor save skills you may save with low health which can cause extreme anger. In Short:
This game rocks out loud. If you own a 360 you should really think about buying this as long as you can handle the subject matter. ESU powercast gives it a 9.5/10 and the August Xbox360 Game of the Month.
