Doesn't appeal to me as much as it seems to appeal to everyone else.

This game is.... allright. I am not as impressed by it as everyone else seems to be. Firstly, let me talk about the games strong points. The story and the enviroment are excellent. The city of Rapture is a beautifully crafted underwater metropolis that makes the player wish they could have experiences Rapture in her prime. The story is also fantastic, a gripping tale that will have multiple endings depending on how you play.
Now, let me talk about the negatives (the rest of the game). Pretty much every plasmid is useless. None of them are EVER particullaly helpful and towards the end of the game they do little to no damage to your enemies, particularly the big daddies. The shooting aspect of the game is also weak, but this may be considering how difficult the game is. On the difficulty, this game is EXTREMELY annoying. You WILL find yourself dying every single time you face more than one enemy and you will die a minimum of 8 times when trying to subdue one big daddy. This game seems to think that dying is a natural part of playing the game considering dying has absolutely no penalty whatsoever except for angering you that you have to make the long walk back to the enemy that just slaughtered you. Another thing that really bothered me is the lack of ammunition available. You will often find youself faced with a horde of enemies and will have no way to subdue them because you have no ammo left for any of your weapons. I really have a difficult time seeing what all of the buzz is about this game, the only reason I finished it was to get it off of my list of games to beat. If somebody could explain to me what I have done wrong with Bioshock maybe I will give it another go, but I have played the entire game and was frustrated any time I wasn't listening to the story unfold.
