Bioshock without a doubt is one the most beautiful and creatively artistic games that has ever been released. Period.

User Rating: 9 | BioShock X360
Bioshock has the highest level of artistic beauty ever seen in a video game, there are just moments where your jaw will draw in total awe. Rapture is one of the most well developed, immersive and believable worlds ever to be created. The game is beautiful, the story is interesting, the musical score and voice acting is unrivalled and the gameplay is solid.

Graphics/Presentation:

The games presentation is flawless in nearly all regards. You will have never been so amazed by a video game environment until you play Bioshock, to the point that you actually feel like your in a 1950's utopia. The graphics are amazing, the style is unrivalled, the atmosphere and all round presentation just cannot be compared to anything. Nothing more to say than Bioshock's presentation is totally original and perfect in every way.

Story/Plot:

A story based on morality, will you save or conquer? That was the question put to the player and well the way the story started out it seemed a little cliché but as you got further into the game it was constantly full of new surprises, hard choices and ultimately became your own adventure which left you hungering to find out what happens next.

Gameplay:

The basic gameplay mechanics played out like a regular shooter and the balance seems to be a bit off as some enemies just appear to have a ridiculous amount of effort to kill but with all the plasmids, different abilities, hacking, photography etc. that set it apart from your everyday shooter. The abilities let you play the game out in multiple ways with endless freedom with how you would defend, attack and progress through the game.

Sound:

The musical score and voice acting was utterly brilliant. The music was memorable and was never out of place and really drew you into the environment and made you feel what the story and game was trying to get across. The Music, SFX and Voice was equally as artistically beautiful as the games presentation and was nothing less than perfect.

Value/Tilt:

Bioshock whilst brilliant in nearly every sense will only last you a few playthrough's as it only offers a single player mode but due to the artistic beauty of the game I think that was exactly how it needed to be, one of those games which stick in your mind and not be drowned out by a multi-player experience.

How high in value is it? Well its one of those games that will never be forgotten, whilst not perfect and with its own minor issues games like these are the rare games that stick with us for along time as value is not just how much time we can put into a game but also what we get out of it and I assure you the words "I Chose Rapture!" will never be forgotten and Bioshock will remain in the minds of many.
