Bioshock takes you to a world that you just don't want to leave!
It's a game that comes once every blue moon and you wish it doesn't end with all your heart but sadly it does. You start out as a character named Jack. On an airplane heading to somewhere and your plain crashes (typical I know) I can promise you this game is anything but predictable after this point.
The story in the game is so brain rattling and soul pulling you can't put it down simple as that. Their are plot twists and the atmosphere of the game is so unique you are just as curious as a toddler. The game is based in the year 1960 so the structure of the game has that 50s feel to it but in a good way now a days dolled up woman and smiling little kid statues are flat out scary.
The A.I. is great in this game they are pretty life like when it comes to the way they think. For example if a enemy is getting shot up by a turret their gonna be way too distracted to notice your sneaking up from the side.
The mechanics are great. i haven't found many hiccups in the game. It's a hell of a first person shooter combined with a little sci-fi with the plasmids which is just great. They add life to a first person shooter. Sure the crossbow and grenade launcher are great but hows a little electric shock to bring things up to speed.
The issue of replay value. Well their is no multiplayer in this game as many of you know. The game is still a heck of a game. Its worth playing twice because after you beat it the first time it's worth another play. You find more pieces to the stories puzzle and it makes you look at the game in a whole other light.
The graphics are also a beautiful part of the game. The detail is flat out grand. Easily best graphics for any system. The lighting is above brilliant and the textures are something to write home about.
So overall this game is a classic. The story is just as good as any RPG game I have played. You will be stuck in 2K Games world for a while. It seems they have found the formula to success Story,Great Mechanics and Atmosphere.
