Original retro bizarre fun boring
it started to wear thin. unlike a bull bore FPS, the gun action was less than stellar. oddly, character rendering was ugly and rushed looking compared to the really lovingly decrepit scene illustration. repetitious wrench kills of the insane and boring vending machine perking started to lose their luster for me. i realize that it was trying to blend FPS and RPG, so no blame. it just didn't interest me after 8 or 10 hours.
in fact, it was a time filler until MOH Airborne came out. my kind of game. a clear objective and go to it. i picked it up on release day and never played Bioshock again. i gather i was around 85% finished, but never quite got around to popping it back into the ole 360.
i was reminded of this quirky piece of gaming when a friend said he was hankering to give it another go yesterday. he also loves Fallout 3, which i sold to him for half price after 4 or 5 hours. so my guess is: like one, chances are you're gonna like the other. so Fallout 3 and Bioshock, it looks like it's me, not you. let's just go our separate ways. no hard feelings.
